Hey all

I’ve not been around much recently, moving house and crazy children hadn’t left much free time but I thought I’d say hi on the day when I celebrate my 8th year of D.

This forum has always been an incredible source of knowledge and support so thank you!

Hope you are all enjoying the rugby x

Happy Diaversary.

I was just thinking this morning we hadn't heard anything from you lately! Hope you and the family are keeping well 🙂

Happy Diaversary 🙂 got my 3 year coming up in a week 😱 xx

Lovely to see you again @grainger

Congrats on 8 years well-lived with diabetes.

here’s to many more!

Happy diaversary, sounds like you have a very hectic time right now, hope all goes well x

Thanks all.

all good here. move has gone well. architects start surveys next week then I get to knock down a wall or two! We still don’t have broadband but it’s been nice disconnecting a little.

Kids are still mental and youngest still doesn’t sleep 🙄.... only 19 months of severe sleep deprivation though - I’m thinking we might hit 2 years if he tries really hard o_O

D wise the libre is awesome but I’m still self funding :(.... having a bit of a tricky time at the min as my requirements seem to have massively dropped in last few weeks so I’m basically hypo central while I keep adjusting. Down to 17 units of basal now instead of the 24 I was on and having to tweak my bolus too.

now for the shameless request for money... I’m running a 10k with a friend early next year at the cancer research U.K. London winter run. A very close friend of mine has stage 4 cancer which is inoperable... I know running doesn’t help but it’s the only thing I can do to try and feel like I’m doing something and raise some money in the process!

Happy diaversary, @grainger - and hope you soon have your new house arranged the way you want it!
My insulin needs have also just gone crazy, I think it must be the weather.

Happy 8th. 🙂

Thanks all.

Sounds like all systems go in your house. Hope your little one decides a full nights sleep is a good thing real soon.
I have too much experience of family/friends having cancer so a small donation has been made. Very good luck with your run x
