Just posting the link to something from the latest Diatribe magazine. I know it's American, but they do seem to have a very balanced approach and it's always interesting to see where they are in the US

this link is about funding for research into the 'artificial panreas' which might seem very far fetched, but they are convinced that it will happen relatively soon and can improve outcomes for people with T1 - http://helmsleytrust.org/program-ar...ype-1-diabetes/video-building-bionic-pancreas
 
The artificial pancreas is not at all far fetched! In fact it's been undergoing clinical trials for quite a while now. I really believe they will iron out the problem areas and it will become available in the next decade, however I also fear that CCGs won't want to pay for people to have it!
 
Yes, maybe the far fetched-ness relates to us getting it, not that it can't happen! Didn't you just love the video!
