HI can you explain what each of the readings mean esspecialy the last one which nearly always go'es dark for me.

As I had the flu recently I was using these...........

I believe there are 3 bits of PH paper on the stick.......the top 2 give an indication of ketone level in the blood, it gives you 2 different measurements.

Then the last one is urine ketone level, this one is the one I used to assess the ketone levels.......

The blood ones go a greenish colour and the urine one goes a purply colour...

If this is purple, which for me it was near the start of my illness then you have ketones..................:(..............too many..........:(
 
Are these diastix or ketostix Caroleann? They measure quite different things.

I think whatever they are checking, there would seem to be more of 'it' the darker the paper goes............
