You are really following the SW regime rather than paying too much attention to the carbs. I suspect that if you also work out the carbs rather than consider the 'sins' you might be surprised.
Oat, fruit, jacket pot, sweet pot, crackers (depends on how many) would be pretty high carb.
If you are testing with a monitor it would be interesting to see how much effect it has on your blood glucose as that is the important factor.
Apologies for the delayed reply and thanks for your continued help and advice. I will be ordering a BG monitor. Had a good past week during which I have tried cutting carbs to breakfast (40gms oats) and dinner only (rice, pasta, potato etc - noted your advice re potato/sweet potato so more swede and butternut squash will be swapped in...).

Tesco "Free From" pasta is okay and have switched from Greek-style yogurt to Oaken Bio Pots Natural yogurt adding cinnamon for taste, as IMO they seem to have a better (lower) balance of Carbs, Sugar and Protein.

Will order a BG monitor later today

Thanks again

I’ve lost 3.5 stone since August with SW and I’ve not cracked down on the carbs (I’m on Gliclazide and I find if I don’t eat enough carbs I have awful hypos) See my signature for the effect on my HBA1C levels…

Well done you…. I hope (am sure) you hit your target.

I need to make a few adjustments as I think I went a bit OTT on a few things eg 4 muller lights a day and going from zero fruit to a large bowl full every day.

Plus my dad was type 2 from about age 65…

TBH in a funny (strange) way it has been good to learn more about what I am eating and the help here is amazing

Keep going…
