My son was diagnosed at about this time of day exactly 8 years ago! 😱 :( 🙂

Happy (?) Diabirthday to your son🙂

Happy(?) Diaversary 🙂

I can only remember the month I was diagnosed because it was so soon after my birthday. Amazes me that people can remember it to the day/hour!

Thanks everyone 🙂

He is happy so it's a happy day! Though it's going to cost me because apparently it warrants a present of some kind :D

I have the date engraved on my memory because it was quite a shock at the time, and we were due to go and support my brother in his first Ironman triathlon (he's done 7 now!) and couldn't go because we were stuck in the hospital (Friday admittance and no consultant till the Tuesday following). But I don't always think about it every year, sometimes the day slips by and I only realise afterwards that we've missed it.

Happy diaversary.

And I like the idea of presents 🙂

I like the idea of presents for the diaversary or diabirthday. I only remember I was diagnosed beofre the chocolate festival (Easter) 2006 and no one would buy me an easter Eggg!
