Hi I was informed by my optician yesterday after a scan and examination I have had a bleed and leakage behind my left eye, and have to be referred to the eye hospital, can someone explain what this means and what treatment I may need. Many Thanks

Hello Hetty and welcome to the forum.
It sounds as if you have retinopathy which means as you know a hospital referral. They will dilate your pupils take lots of photos and decide on the next move which will more than likely involve laser treatment to seal of the blood vessels. Hope that helps.

Typical that I have received a date for my retinal screening which is the same date as my OH is provisionally booked for his prostate surgery. I can hopefully change it if the date is confirmed, as I would need to take him there.
