was getting really good results last week stopped injecting as it was all ways increasing my B.G for reasons unknown and stuck with taking sitagliptin but then from getting very good low B.G levels near to normal something happened on Sunday went for a lay down but did not wake for 3 hours and felt well weird so checked my B.G levels to find they were only just above 4 and there was no way i wanted to go to bed with low levels esp with been on my own.
after seeing some information i took action to increase my B.G to better safe levels but then ended up the opposite way with levels way too high and boy did i know about it.
roll on and from getting really good B.G levels last week i could not understand why my B.G wasn't coming down following the Sunday episode, i spoke to my DB nurse this morning and apparently i am now suffering from what they call Diabetic Rebound something i have never heard off.
so for anyone with low levels be careful about rushing to increase B.G levels as it can have a knock on effect.
something did come back to haunt me seems my sodium levels are mucking around, before Xmas they crashed out causing all sorts of problems luckily i was in hospital when it happened so immediate action was taken but the downside is that the levels have to be brought up slowly so not to cause shock, talk about horrid salt tablets.
been told they are going to do my bloods again just to be safe and to see if the gliptin is doing its job.
