In laymans terms it is nerve damage, ussually around the feet and legs but can happen anywhere on the body, mine was detected by the Podiatrist with various instruments for feeling s and senses in the feet and also you get the various types of pain mentioned above. Hope that helps.

Thanks John,
I try not to read too much or google as I'm a born worrier - my husband calls me one of the 'worry-well'; have you had it long. I have my feet checked every 3 months for peace of mind...

Hi Amanda, I try not to read to much on the google answers as you say they frighten the life out of you. I've had the neuropathy for quite some time but its only got bad this past year or so where I need tablets for the pain, but back last year I had Cellulitus in my legs which has been treered and I now have to wear support stockings, it has left my legs discoloured , its all something to do with the veins and return valves for the blodd not working properly.

John.

Thanks for sharing this with me; the internet is both fascinating and scary at the same time. I hope you're not in too much discomfort. Take care, big hug {{{}}} Amanda xx

Neurontin is what USA calls Gabapentin.
