Diabetic meal

A bland meal will be something like plain grilled chicken, boiled white rice or potato, and a bit of veg, without any kinds of butter, sauce or seasoning. Likely there to give an extra option for people with things like digestive issues, Crohn’s disease, etc as it will be low in fat and easily digestible.
Sounds like something my daughter would like, she likes very simple food and won’t touch anything that has even the tiniest smidgen of sauce on it! She even eats a roast dinner with no gravy, which I’d find a bit dry I think. Each to their own!

I am with your daughter on the lack of gravy - I don't like soggy food. As a kid, I always had my morning cereal dry.
(I don't eat cereal or roasts any more.)

But that is different to bland food. I love a dry curry, for example.
