Diabetes uk 7 day meal plan?

just looking at the family of four 7 day meal plan on the website, I’m amazed that this is what diabetes uk think is suitable, it’s certainly not type 2 friendly at all? Confused.com 😱

I thinks it’s scary that our own diabetes charity advocates some of those foods.

260 grams of carbs a day is very hefty! But hey I can have chocolate brownies, rock cakes and lots of hot chocolate! Yippee!

Oooh hot chocolate , do you think it would be ok for me to have a drop or maybe two of bailey’s in it .
Puds and all that fruit.
I’d be putting on weight with that menu and having to double my bolus.

I only got to Mondays breakfast !! My BS levels would be in orbit all day I am very disappointed with this advice

Breakfasts fine for me. But the fact there's a pudding every day is beyond me 🙄

Plus a lot of people work so need some meals that can be prepared at home, I couldn't knock up wedges and pizza on lunch at work.

Pizza yeah that's a good idea. Don't get me wrong I love them and home made is miles better than bought or takeaway but who is this for at all.

And have you had reduced sugar baked beans! I bought and cooked them but couldn't eat them, dreadful!!!

Plus my child is a fuss pots as most children are, she wouldn't even try half of this let alone eat it!

I came across this as a newbie here. I thought, this sounds good? Then read more and educated my self. It could be a bit misleading for us new to this
