Type 1
Change insulin reservoir and cannula alarm every 3 days - feels like minutes since the last alarm and set change
Change CGM sensor alarm every 7 days - feels like minutes since the last alarm and sensor change
Waiting for Humalog insulin to start to work approx 20- 30 mins -feels like hours
Waiting before testing again after treating a hypo 10-15 mins- feels like hours

What's going on, they're all back to front. o_O

Any other diabetes time issues to report? 🙂

All of the above! But also on a longer timescale-
Waiting for surgery nurse to refer me to the hospital clinic to see if I can have a Libre prescribed, which I asked in November. Seems like years!
(she has now done it....but she has accidentally ticked the box to refer me to the Dietician for advice as a Type 2 newly going on to insulin. I am now anticipating several further months delay while the mess is sorted out, which no doubt will feel like years as well).

I swore black and blue yesterday I’d only just loaded my insulin pen with a new cartridge, so either time is starting to accelerate or I’m starting to slow down not sure which 😉. Robin I feel your pain with the administrative horror likely to follow that blooper, my surgery revert me to T2, despite no suggestion of T2 ever being made, on a semi regular basis. I can usually tell when they send me a snotty letter suggesting I’m a feckless oik for not attending a fictional T2 review. It’s a delight, a positive joy 😱

Get what you mean about alarms, settled down sunday evening with coffee and started watching ray donovan, 5 mins in alarms sounds on pump to change, swore few times and cursed it for while.

Today turn of libre due to sensor expiring, life is ruled by alarms sigh.

Ordering needles! I use three a day from a box of 100, so 30 days right? So how comes I seem to be ordering them every other day? Also it just seems just like last month I started a new 7 litre sharps bin and I’ve just picked another up on Monday! By my reckoning it must be St Swithin’s day next week and we will all be changing our lancets AGAIN! 😱

Ray Donovan.....I can see you have taste 🙂 Nothing should interrupt that.

I experience odd time bends with sharps bins. Either they fill up very quickly, like practically instantly or it takes forever. I am pretty sure I jab at a fairly consistent pace and yet still it happens. I think someone else is using it, maybe it’s the dog 😉

I am on my third 7 litre one. How did that happen? I’ve only been on insulin 6 years, have a fast clix drum which I change on St Swithin’s day as you know. Don’t put anything else in it and we don’t have a dog! :D

Definately my friend, this season has been best so far, thought last one was but no.

John Voight is brilliant in it playing Mick, hard to believe the guys 82 this year.

One of the longest timewarps for me is the wait after treating for a Libre or sensor trace to begin to turn the corner and rise... not helped by ‘sensor lag’ of course. So tempting to double-treat... and conversely, it’s tricky to know when you might be heading for a double-dip
