‘Coronavirus vaccines: safety and effectiveness in people with diabetes’

Wednesday 20th January 7 – 8.30 pm


With lots in the news at the moment about the different coronavirus vaccines, you might have some questions about how they work and how effective they are for people living with diabetes.

Join us for an exclusive online panel discussion and the opportunity to have your questions answered by the ex. perts: Professor of Molecular Microbiology, Tom Evans , a member of the Scottish Government Covid-19 Advisory Group, GP and Primary Care Lead in Glasgow & Clyde, Dr Kashif Ali and Diabetes UK Head of Care, Dan Howarth.

The event is open to anyone in the UK and will take place on Zoom. We’ll be joined by If you have a question you’d like to put to the panel, please send it to Mhairi.macdonald@diabetes.org.uk or let us know in the comments below by Tuesday at 12pm.

Some questions:

Have there been any adverse re-actions from any of those already vaccinated?

Is there any indication that reactions/ levels of immunity may be different for people living with Diabetes?

Do we know how many who are living with Diabetes have been vaccinated so far?
