Had my annual (or, in this case, biennial) diabetes and asthma review at the surgery today. The nurse was very nice and friendly, but why is it I always come away from these appointment feeling that I have been judged and found wanting? I think it's party to do with the sheer number of tick-box questions you are asked about your diet and lifestyle - it's almost inevitable that you will feel you have given the 'wrong' answer to something and you really ought to do better 😱 :( As I say, this had nothing to do with the nurse, who was lovely throughout 🙂 I manage my health pretty well, but I imagine if I come away feeling like this then some people having difficulty might be pitched into fear and depression :( Or maybe it's just me! 😱
