Really really fed up with this disease.
Have not felt this bad for a long time.
Always hungry, cannot eat what i want, eating too much sugary stuff again and putting weight on again after 2 years.
See the diabetic nurse on monday week for 6 months check up.
Know it's going to be bad.
Couple all that with aches and pains everywhere, got bloody tootache in my last remaining wisdom tooth and will have to see a dentist who will rip me off tomorrow bigtime.
Have had a sore head constantly since the toothache started a few days ago.
Sorry for the rant but i feel really depressed at the minute.

Jon, I'm really sorry you are feeling so down :( Unfortunately, diabetes can be a vicious circle, where higher levels affect your mood making you want things that are only going to make things worse. A lot of the problems you describe, including the tooth, could be due to higher than normal blood sugar levels.

I know that it's tough when it gets like this, but the best way to tackle it is to start taking it in hand, as much as you are able. If you are hungry, try to go for non-carb food - meat, nuts, cheese etc. and these will help to get your levels down. Try to think of positive ways to spend your time - if you can get out in the sunshine for a walk this will also be a big help, getting some vitamin D, some endorphins and helping to keep those levels down too.

I hope the dentist experience goes better than you fear, and that things start to improve for you very soon. I always feel particularly down when I have tooth-related problems on top of everything else, so perhaps after your appointment that will be one thing out of the way.

Aww Jon, sorry to hear you are having such a horrible time. I hate it when everything gangs up on you and you end up so low and sick of it all. I feel for you with your toothache - on top of everything else eh? All the best tomorrow with the dentist, hope that then at least one thing will be solved for you. Love and hugs.x

Hi Jon I'm really sorry that you're having such a rotten time. The diabetes is a vicious circle in that it makes you feel fed up then you eat badly and then that makes the diabetes worse etc. I've just had a few weeks where I was feeling really depressed and thought that I couldn't pull myself out of how I was feeling. Thanks to the support of people on this support board I did and now I'm really enjoying life again........currently typing this in a warm sunny garden and looking forward to a nice ice cold glass of wine a bit later - meant to be working on my OU assignment that I'm doing as a hobby and looking forward to spending time in Birmingham tomorrow...... and it's looking forward to the good things that make life much easier. I hope that you too also feel much better soon x

I hope having a good rant on here has helped. Feel free anytime. :D

And don't forget - your tooth problems are most likely contributing to not only you felling 'orrible - but higher blood sugars, so if your A1c has gone off the Richter scale, you might want to offer that as part of the explanation!

See? - it won't be so bad after all, will it?

Why did they ever call them Wisdom teeth? God put them in the most inaccessible place so you can't clean them properly without ramming your toothbrush down your throat and they are usually more trouble than they are worth. Better off without em in my opinion!

With all the support i'm feeling much better this afternoon.
Thanks everyone.

Jon make sure you get a good strong anti bio after aswell...
had my last taken out a few months back best of luck x🙂

Ive been in exactly the same state as you. its poo, then something will pull you back on track. i dont know if it will help, but try and find alternatives for your 'sin' foods. i can keep my bs great but i cant lose weight, i neeeeed food and chocolate, so i eat low carb chocolates, pork scratchings, egg and bacon etc, then i dont feel quite so bad.
p.s. dentist has said even tho i had big absess under wisdom tooth he will try and save it, cos at my age i need every tooth i have! bless him! take it a bit at a time and stay away from the carbs and you will pick up. sending positive tree hugging vibes to you!
