Relationship to Diabetes
Hi

I am a freelance translator, currently working for a company that specialises in the translation and testing of medical questionnaires.

I am currently working on a project that involves testing a questionnaire on an iPad or tablet device rather than a standard paper questionnaire.

The questionnaire is about diabetes in general, quality of life, treatment experiences, etc.

So I am looking for 5 volunteers with diabetes (any type) who would be willing to test the questionnaire, to make sure that it is straightforward to answer. This would need to be carried out face-to-face either at home or convenient location.

I am based in Skipton, North Yorkshire so if you are fairly local to me (within ~ 20 miles), that would be perfect.

You would be paid a flat fee of £16.

The results will be anonymous - only age, occupation and gender will be reported back to the company.

This is not a clinical trial in any way - it is purely about answering questions about your experiences of living with diabetes.

If you are interested and would like to find out more, please email me at info@anitabirch.com

Many thanks in advance for your help.

What's an ipad and tablet? 😛

I think they might be something young people think essential to life? Tablet to me is a very naughty Scottish fudge type treat!

Hi
I thought 'tablet' might be a bit confusing - nothing medical. It's just a flat-screen computer that can be used to do questionnaires electronically.
Hope this helps...

Thanks
Anita

I was being sarcastic, as not everyone has either one or the other nor wants either. 🙂

I did this today. Very quick and easy, in Booths cafe, so used card to get free coffee from machine, although researcher offered to pay. She says she has enough people lined up, so isn't looking for more volunteers.
