My first year diagnosed with type 1 diabetes six months later was diagnosed with coeliac disease .anyone else with the same problem

Welcome @Rmcmac 🙂 Sorry you’ve had two diagnoses so close together, but the good thing about the coeliac disease is that it’s been diagnosed so you can now move forward eating the diet you need.

There will definitely be people here with both conditions, as they’re linked in a way. People with Type 1 have six times the risk of developing coeliac disease than Mr/Ms Average.

Welcome to the club.
Being coeliac shouldn't make any difference as so much food about compared to early days. Only down side is the cost of gluten free foods.

6x, wasn't aware risks were that high.

Been tested few times but results have been negative, suppose its something to look out for.
