So we all have something in common, this wonderfull condition, so whats the best and worst bits for you??

Best???
I understand food a lot more
its something that i find i am stronger for dealing with it and not giving in to it.

Worst
Having a pump attached to me 24/7
Hypos

So whats yours???

Best:
It prompted me to lose almost a mini-me of surplus fat!
Not having to inject yet (long may it continue).

Worst:
Interrupted sleep (still getting up to pee).

Best: Take my health less for granted, with good BS levels havn't felt this well for a long time (although I didn't realise it at the time).

Worst: You can never get away from it!😱

best: I have a better understanding of food and how things work. For others they say I am more comapassionte and understanding

Worst I can never get away from it and all those (naughty words) pills

Best: My pump:D
Worse: Complications:(

Best: You lot (and the DOC in general)
Worst: When it doesn't play fair and you have to fix basal/ratios *again*

Best: Realising I HAD to stop smoking, 7 years now since my last cig
My insulin pump
My lovely supportive wife, for living with diabetes with me every day

Worst: Hypos and Hypers
Never having a day off from diabetes

Best - Hoping that the lifestyle changes, ie keeping weight under control, eating healthily, keeping fit with exercise compensate for swinging bg levels in the long run. (maybe). Having an excuse to eat naughy stuff when I go low! & Its a good conversation starter - Has come in handy when starting new jobs and stuff and they ask about the pen! Also quitting smoking is a massive one! -Although i had smoked all my diabetic life I guess.

Worst - The highs - They make me feel SICK. Weighing everything is a pain in the bum. Takes me 20 mins to get my lunch ready for work the next day. Eating out and not knowing 100% what the count is. The unpredictablity of fat and proteins in meals. The unpredictability of everything diabeties.

But my main one... Thinking your on to a winner, ie good control for days / weeks (The best thing about diabetes) and then it just goes wrong for no bloomin reason (My worst thing)

Best: Now I have a consultant, I am happy with the level of care I receive.

Worst: The constant drain, fatigue and repetition of testing, recording and injecting.

Best
My helpful consultant
Having the right to insulin coz other wise, i'd be screwed

Worse
Hypos
Not being able to escape from it - a day off now & then would be nice
Not having any drunk times - yes I know selfish

I must admit, most of the comments regarding "time of" or "just have a break" from diabeties, well i'd love that too.
Down the pub, order what food you like, raid the sweets, curry nights, then go to bed with no worries, Ahh sound good to me🙂
Worst thing is, most people can do that, and they dont think about it.

Mega please don't remind me of the normal life most people live!

I've been overweight for most of my life. This has been the only thing that has made me lose weight and I'm feeling much better because of it. It hasn't stopped me having naughty things but apart from good beer they are infrequent.

Good: All the free alcohol you're allowed :D

Bad: It's rubbed on your arm before they take your bloods 😡
