Relationship to Diabetes
Type 2
I feel I’m living on fresh air

Not having carbs or sugar

Those clothes that felt so good on me

Have become a figure hugger

Diabetes has so many sides

Every one of them a task

Counting, watching, munching

Doing everything they ask

And yet my levels soar up

If I walk near a cake or two

My body is reacting

To everything I do

Stay aware, you’re diabetic

Learn which foods to eat

Don’t be Diabetes beaten

Take charge, and feel complete

This condition is yours to control

Then much better you will be

Don’t despair on a diet of fresh air

Give care, and you will see

DON’T BE DIABETES BEATEN BY DIABETIC POET
