Catching up on posts as I've not been on in a while and thought I'd share this:

During my DAFNE course, I had a good bed-time BG reading but hypo'd through the night and was high in the morning (re-bound). When they asked what I thought had happened I quipped it was due to some 'unplanned nocturnal exercise'. Aparantely they now mention this on every course they run! 😱

My DSN is always talking about 'Nocturnal Exercise' she thinks it hilarious! Now I know who to blame!!! 🙄

it's great that you can post on here and ask these sort of questions Cath.

just to make you (all probably) giggle lots...I had a bad hypo at a VERY unfortunate time with my ex....he thought I'd fallen asleep and got the hump (and very offended!)....but actually I was dropping in and out of consciousness!!! This was made worse by the fact it was, shall we say, more unplanned nocturnal activities much more focused on him than me?? 😱

it's funny now, but not at the time. still, I don't make that mistake anymore! Hubby now is really good on picking up on cold sweats from hypos and makes me test, no matter how inappropriate a time! 🙂

No real dramas to be honest. Then again I have been living like a monk for more than a year now so my opinion might be null an void!
Any form of cardiovascular exercise is handy. Think of your pelvic floor as well haha!

Do not know if it has been mentioned but some lubricants have a high sugar content and your mucous membrane can absorb this and make you a little hyperglycaemic just a thought

They call it the little death don't they so maybe taking one's life in one's hands (and possibly other things if strapped for a partner) every time one indulges whether diabetic or not. I remember it as being worth it.
