Relationship to Diabetes
Type 1
Are you a parent?
Does your child have type one diabetes?
Are they aged 11– 17 years?

If yes, please read on, we could use your help...

Chronic illness like diabetes can impact on families in many ways. For example, following complex diabetes management plans to maintain health. Families have to find ways to adapt, and to help their child be well and develop independence. Our research team is running a research project based on the Triple P Positive Parenting Program.

Triple P is used worldwide to help families build on their own knowledge and skills. It offers positive parenting advice and focuses on making small changes to achieve big differences. We want to see if this can be a helpful tool for families with diabetes. The aim is to promote happy and healthy family life.

Further information, participation and registration details can be found on the study website:

www.diabetesandparenting.org.uk/support

The research group can also be contacted for any further questions via Email link or Private Messaging

The project is supported by various diabetes organisations and voluntary groups, including Diabetes UK:
