Hi
I’m learning about my sugars by doing a free trial of Dexcom one plus
Intact I have a free trial of libre 2 plus to do just after I finish this one - giving me about a months data

Am I right in thinking to have a 45 hba1c I have to have average glucose of about 5.4?

Right now average is 7

I’m on 2mg ozempic

Unmedicated my hba1c is 85. Right now it’s 64. I need it to be lower obviously

Strategy right now is count carbs and collect data

Thing is my sugars don’t seem to go up when I eat - what’s going on?

There isn’t a guaranteed relationship between average sensor glucose and HbA1c (for a variety of complex reasons). Average sensor glucose (or average fingerstick glucose) can give you a vague idea, but it’s never a straight numerical conversion, only ever an approximate indication.

Good to hear the Ozempic is making a positive contribution.

Hope your data collection gives you some helpful pointers 🙂

Whether they do or not will depend on what you are eating. Are you able to post a picture of you graph from your Dexcom.
