Aye, it's reet grim so it is. :D But it's even worse up here, in the 'real' North-East.

Keep telling the southerners it's grim up north and they won't move north and overcrowd the area.

(From a Midland born person very happy at prospect of moving from East Anglia to Leeds (which is in North East region of one of my employers) soon, as a change to previous northern English city of residence, Newcastle upon Tyne in 2 separate periods, with 1 summer spent working at Dumbarton, and many periods volunteering on adventure races, mountain marathons etc in all the best mountainous regions of GB, Ireland.)
