have had my scan to see if I can have dental implants. Was only their half an hour. Im not going to say how much it costs, let's just say it's a private one, couldt find an NHS dentist for love or money. Let alone one with disabled access..it's a very nice practise staffed completely by female dentists who are lovely and so kind.
Today I had my scan and it went very well. I can have dental implants They have given me a cost/appointment plan. Next one is Wednesday 30th July at 1130am, the next one is 3 implant placements, then 3 hours on 27th August 2pm and will take 3 hours for 3 implants placements and bone grafting.

Am looking forward to it but am nervous as he'll

Not cheap these dentists are they, you can't find a NHS dentist where I live either. The one I'm with was NHS but went private a few years ago

Hope your work goes well

I hope your treatment goes well - dentistry has improved due to private practices being willing to do more than the bare minimum, so it is not all bad news.

I had 2 implants with a bridge 12 years ago, the main pain was just an aching in my jaw for about a day which paracetamol took care of. The main problem was they said I needed to wear a denture during the wait for the implants to integrate into the bone to stop the lower teeth from moving up but they were unwearable as they made me gag all the time, complete waste of £300. The whole treatment was £6000 and that was that long ago.
I suppose as techniques improve it may now be cheaper.
I hope it goes well and you feel it is worth the money.

I had an implant done a couple of years ago. The process was quite long and drawn out, I had to keep going to have X Rays and various examinations for quite a while before the implant was inserted. The process was pretty much painless but it did take quite a long time. The final result is excellent, the colour match isn't perfect but otherwise it is just like a real tooth. Between having the implant inserted and having the cap put on I just had a gap in my teeth. We visited my neice during this time and her daughter was at the losing baby teeth stage so we got to compare our gaps.
