Has anyone visited a dentist this last year and was it a safe environment. I am thankfully able to get an appt. for April 26th and am a bit nervous to go into an enclosed environment even though they have assured me they are covid free...and following guidelines. Is this a normal result of not mixing for a year?

The dentists have to follow a very strict routine, after all they do not want to be infected with covid do they?
Obviously you will have to take your mask off for the dentist to check your Gnasher's and have to arrive on time. Same routine as for Drs.

Our actual dentist has always worn a mask and surgical gloves within his consulting room anyway before we'd ever heard of Covid. I desperately need a scale and polish as I've always had shedloads of placque despite elec toothbrush, use of dental tape etc - and it's been 18 months since I've been. I really ought to ring and go myself.

I`ve been 3 times in the last year always in lockdown, a lot safer than the GP or hospital go for it.

Last May I had a couple of teeth/fillings break and telephoned the dentist. I was eventually called for an appointment in September. I was told that nothing could be done involving a drill. Some kind of "temporary repair" was done and I was not allowed a mouthwash. I was told I would have another appointment somewhere else (not specified) early this year. Still waiting and the "temporary repair" broke a few months ago.
