Dentist - as gentle as a sledgehammer!!

Ow!! Just got back from the dentist after having a scale and polish and my lady dentist hurt me so much I had tears in my eyes! Literally! In all my years I have never experienced such a brutal clean! I am no softy, but this one really, really hurt!!😡 Katiex

I often find cleans worse than fillings! Hope your gnashers feel nice and clean now, after what you've been through! 🙂

Ouch, its not just me then? I always felt a bit of a wimp for my reaction to a clean, as it was usually horrendous.

Same here Katie - it actually put me off going for a while.
I do look after my teeth quite well but was so much in pain when done.

Mine uses ultrasound - or soemthing? - rather than gouging it out like they used to. Far less invasive.

I remember hearing about that years ago - hasn't made it to my dentist's yet He's actually an excellent dentist, but all that picking at the plaque does take it's toll on my gums at the same time 😱 Fortunately, I get very little build up so it doesn't need doing every time.
