I am unclear why high insulin usage would cause T1. Can you clarify?
What they actually said was insulin resistance can develop with high insulin usage. That’s pretty much true, other than it’s more that high insulin usage is a sign of insulin resistance

It works both ways, one leads to the other. the more insulin you have circulating (from whatever source) eventually it causes resistance and thus you need more of it. A nasty circle. In an ideal world there’s no resistance the just the right amount. (Highly unlikely in type 2 and one hell of a balancing act in type 1)
