After 3 years of being on a waiting list to do the DAFNE course I have FINALLY been offered a cancellation slot for next month. Trying to arrange leave/sort things out so I don't leave work in a pickle and was wondering how long during the day you were on the course for? Does it vary from area to area? Trying to figure out if it for example, ends at 3, could I work from home for a few hours after etc etc!

Glad to hear you've got a cancellation slot. I think you'll have to ask the organisers about your local course - anecdotes about other courses in other locations in the past might not bear much relation to the course you are about to undertake.

Whatever it is - I don't believe the timetable is absolutely rigid since whatever they are talking about that day needs open discussion by participants and leaders.

Thank you both @Copepod and @trophywench, I think I'll just book it all as holiday so I don't have to worry about it. So pleased to be getting on the course, hopefully the first step towards finally getting my hands on a pump! 🙂

I would recommend not working. It is quite a full on course and I was quite tired by the end of the day. Also I think it is really valuable to fully immerse yourself in it and take the week out.
