Hi

I wanted to mention a new site. It is for people who have completed the DAFNE course. It is at http://dafneonline.co.uk/. It is very small at the moment and has only recently started. It has forums, an online BG diary, the DAFNE handbook and a carb counter. It was set up by a small group of volunteers, and a few healthcare professionals who do it in addition to their other duties.

Hello,

I recently found this site too and have to say it's coming on leaps and bounds - they really are putting a lot of effort into it.

Very useful for anyone who has done DAFNE, especially as you can enter your BG and carb details online, and access the carb counter using your mobile phone 🙂

Is this the site that you can only join if you have completed the official DAFNE course?

From my quick preusal, it seems that some things are limited to DAFNE 'Graduates' ( the DAFNE Handbook online), but apart from that, for all-comers.

Watch me eat my words when I've signed up!😉🙂

When I signed up at least that was right, anyone can sign up then if you have done dafne you can email them the details of where and when to get a code which means you can have access to bits like the handbook.

I registered earlier. It's very useful if you're starting out on carb counting (or trying but not getting too far 😛) because of the bit with all the carb values. But only if you understand DAFNE ratios... Having not done DAFNE yet, am I right in thinking that 1 CP is 10 grams of carbohydrate?!
