Investigated curry house tonight for a friends birthday, 1 poppadum, 1/2 a naan bread, chicken curry (didn't eat much sauce) and slice of birthday cake.

Fully expected mental high blood sugar. Before food, 5.6. 1 hour 8.1, 2 hour 7.6, 3 hour 7.0. This is so not predictable!!! My inner control freak cannot deal with this, lol

Sounds like a good time was had :D

And 5.1 hour 4, the lowest reading I've ever taken!

That's a terrific result Greg! 🙂
But frustratingly unpredictable! Lol. I'm assuming it's because of all the fat eaten alongside the carbs. But good to know there is at least one treat food that I might be able to have in the future!

The thing is, a dietician would probably recommend against it, but by testing you have shown that it might be OK to include in your diet, illustrating the nonsense that testing doesn't benefit Type 2s! 🙄 Obviously, more research needed... 😉

That's a great result. I want to try a take away curry sometime. I've heard Jalfrezi is kinder to BS.

Sunds like a great meal

I think the DF working hard yesterday evening doing her very best to cause chaos to those eating out! She failed with you, but succeeded with me!

I've had a few curries in different places since diagnosis. Always allowed myself one poppadom, but skipped naan and rice in favour of some kind of side dish. I've always found it to be kind to my BG. Never more than a 2mmol rise. I do love the hot dry ones rather than the mild sweet ones, so YMMV, but a result for me
