Had my CT Scan on Saturday after going through what was suspected UTI/Kidney stones.
GP called to say there was inflammation around the kidney and enlarged lymph nodes in my stomach.
Got to have another CT, urgent bloods & the oncall Urologist said I needed a urgent referral.
Trying not to worry but hard not to.

Best of luck @MarkGeordie, a worrying time for you and hope the results come back soon.

Thanks.

Booked in at the surgery for bloods tomorrow, was shocked as normally have to go to the local community hospital, GP said they would do them as they were very urgent, which just adds to the anxiety.

She’s put the referrals in for another CT Scan & to see a specialist, just got to wait for contact, either by letter or phone call.

What a worrying time for you .
I hope it turns out to be something easily sorted and not what you are worrying about.
TC x

Really sorry to hear this @MarkGeordie

Everything crossed for you. Good that you are being seen swiftly.

Let us know how it goes

Thank you.

Had my bloods taken earlier and the doctor give me all the referral paperwork.

Next CT is on 23rd and appointment with consultant on 28th.

I know its little consolation @MarkGeordie, but at least things are moving quickly and you should get answers soon.

Good Luck.

It’s quite impressive the speed they are going in the current climate so I’m very grateful.

Next Wednesday followed up by the next Monday. Clearly summat's up - so better to have anything really orrible ruled out whilst also finding out the fairly ordinary thing that is the problem!

My thinking exactly. She said the bloods would probably be back by Monday/Tuesday too so I’ll ring up and see if they have flagged anything.

I’m not sure if you remember all the tests I had done earlier in the year and they couldn’t really come to a conclusion? She also brought all that up again and said it could all be linked. Crazy ness.

I think my GP likes to raise my BP & anxiety.

She rang today to say one of my bloods had come back high, refused to say which one, how high or anything and said the consultant would discuss it next Monday.

Why ring me in the first place then?

Seems a pointless and stress-raising call. Try not to dwell on it. Wait for the consultant who’ll know a lot more than her and be able to give you proper answers.

Your telling me it was pointless.
I was going to demand more information but I lack the energy to fight at the moment.

Ah thank you. Got my second CT scan tomorrow so hopefully that gives extra information for the consultant on Monday.
