Has anybody ever had a CT Angiogram? My cardiologist said I need some further investigation and mentioned the CT angiogram but said there was a very loooong waiting list or I could go through the process that I had last year of an angiogram followed straight away with a angioplasty if required and this could be done in about 3 months time.

I would be grateful if you could give me any information on the procedure.

Many thanks

I've only had an ordinary angiogram, when I was diagnosed. There's some good information on this page which explains the differences:

The thing I remember most about mine was the amazing warm feeling that spread throughout my body when the dye was injected - I could feel the whole journey as the blood was pumped through my body in an instant, a unique experience!

I hope you don't have to wait too long 🙂

I’ve only had a normal angiogram, they went in through my wrist rather than my groin, was much easier and less recovery time. Hope they work something out for you so you don’t have to wait too long x
