Relationship to Diabetes
Type 1
I have discovered that as a type 1 diabetic, I am ineligible for Critical Illness cover, despite being in good health otherwise.
Diabetes is covered in the Equality Act 2010. By not providing this cover Insurance Companies are discriminating against a disability.
I want this to change. I've created a Petition and I hope that you will sign it.

Click this link to sign the petition:

My petition:

Make Insurance Providers to provide critical illness cover for Type 1 diabetics.

Make it compulsory for Insurance Providers to provide Critical Illness cover for Type 1 diabetics

Denying critical illness cover to type 1 diabetics is a discriminatory offence, as diabetes is covered by the Disability Equality 2010. By not providing this option Insurance Providers in breach of this act and preventing diabetics from being treated as other people.

Thank you,
David Kernaghan

The insurance companies are only out to make money, not to look after us lot! Blackguards!

You need a few more supporters to go live apparently. 🙂

Good luck with your petition, though as insurance companies are in the business of evaluating risk, and increasing premiums as risk increases I suspect any policies offered may be eye wateringly expensive
