I know the uk is developing its own tracker app, but that app will also use Bluetooth connectivity. In fact when this was discussed on the afternoon briefing the government advisors stared changes were to be made to minimise the impact Bluetooth has on battery life. Another potential area of concern given the lack of testing that will take place as the app is rushed into use.

Anyone on here included in the Isle of White trial?

I wonder how serious the issues are. (It doesn't affect most of us, of course, since FreeStyle Libre uses NFC rather than Bluetooth.)

Unfortunately / fortunately I’ve got the Dexcom G6 which is Bluetooth, and as it interfaces with both my pump and iPhone it could be a concern. Just getting used to Basal IQ and would hate to lose that functionality.

Roche pumps and their respective handsets/BG meters all communicate with each other by means of Bluetooth though each individual pump has to be linked to its specific handset and vice versa, hence if two of us sitting side by side each have a Roche, we can't affect the other one. Ergo don't see how some 'foreign' Bluetooth Gizmo could affect it?

I’m not sure I see an immediate problem (subject to testing), when I was wearing a fitness tracker, that was using Bluetooth, as was the connection between phone and car, or phone and speaker/hifi thing. So I think you can share Bluetooth ‘bandwidth’ among various different things at once.
