my partner who i have been with for over 21 years was admitted to hospital a few weeks ago with some kind of diabetic issue.

as time went on i had a horrible feeling that something else was going on and today have been informed my partner has contracted covid in hospital and not in a good way.

what is worse is both of us have no remaining family and it is really sending my levels sky high, just feel totally gutted.

all i can do is prayer but i know this Xmas is basically knackered putting it polity.

Sorry to hear about your partner @mikeydt1.

Very sorry to hear this and no doubt your anxiety is compounded by the fact that you won't be allowed to visit them.

Really sorry to hear this. Take care

Can you send your partner an iPad or phone so can stay connected. I was admitted to hospital yesterday with Covid and it’s horrible not being able to breathe properly but it’s really tough for my family and friends not being able to visit me. Not that I would want them to risk catching it.
Wishing you both best of luck and health

Wishing you a swift recovery @Jade X

Really sorry to hear this. Sending you some hugs. X

Thinking of you both

Best wishes to all of you. I'd rather give you all hugs, so please feel free to use your imagination - probably preferable to the real thing, not all that well padded.

the not able to even visit a loved one is a total mind bender day and night it will play on me. i feel so annoyed and mixed up right now doesn't help having no one to speak with and making it worse is the timing.

what is so bad, my partner was on a non covid bay and someone was admitted who hadn't disclosed symptoms and now not just my partner others on there will be in the same boat. guess when people do get symptoms some are just too frightened to disclose knowing what could happen to them.

i did see both sets of messages last night but was too down to even come on to reply and many thanks for those who have.

All the best to both of you, Mikey. Hope things get a lot better quickly.

Sorry to read this, Mikey, hope your partner makes a good recovery. Look after yourself.

just undergone routine mini-op for tube replacement has gone well for me so i can now concentrate on my loved one, think my nerves went sky high. bit micky mouse though.
