I had a final (for now) meeting with both my counsellor and the Talking Therapies therapist this week. As a safety net I have put in place a review in 6 months with the counsellor, but I know that I can call on her in between if necessary. A bit scary going it alone but I am definitely in a very different position.

I am feeling very proud of the progress that I have made over the past year. I am clear about my red flag indicators that I am slipping again into depression, I have startegies to use when I spot these and a commitment on my part to practice these skills regularly and review my progress monthly.

I have had excellent support both from outside agencies and from Family and friends.
Here’s to a good 2018.

Amazing to read this, you write with so much strength, clarity and wisdom and very inspiring to read. I believe, as someone recovering from PTSD, the key is as you say noticing the red flag indicators and having strategies to use. Brilliant you have the support you need and sure you will have a good 2018.

I'm taking it that something of a good position then. Good 🙂 I hope the continue to get the support you need.
