I've been testing the last week or so, and my results are always between 5 and 6.... two hours after meals. I was hospitalised with a hypo last week at 3.1 sorted and went home, now my levels have stabilised the before meals are in low 5 and low 6 two hours after. I have had a carb heavy day today plus a massive thirst for orange juice and they post lunch and dinner have been 6.9 and 7.

From what I have been reading and I might have misunderstood but these aren't diabetic readings or is it because I'm taking trulicity that I'm getting these results, do you think it would be worth stopping them and seeing what happens....

You need to discuss with your medical team, these results could because your medication is working.

Becky it sounds like your medication is being very effective in controlling your levels. People who are well controlled by whatever means simply have good diabetic management not a misdiagnosis.
What was your Hba1c at diagnosis?

i agree grovesy. Becky If you are managing to get these readings that is really great control. it is only with monitoring that changes to your meds will happen. but DIY changes can be hazardous because being really high can be dangerous too. Your DR will have a agreed protocol for diabetic blood tests at my GP it is every three months. if you are still under the specialist then request an appointment if not get a referral from your GP for the community diabetic nurses. I suggest you make a note of all your question and ask them. Just be careful because in the early days readings can jump around quite a bit so if you drive you need to be really careful

It was 54 at diagnosis... last one was 47/48 I question the diagnosis now because after my last one they added in another medication which sent my levels really low, not got much faith in my gp at moment

I'm confused as to why you question the diagnosis Becky. A diabetic level is over 48 and your initial level was 54. You're still at diabetic levels on your previous Hba1c but thankfully now reaching good daily BG levels (apart from the hypo obviously).
Sounds like you don't have much overall confidence in your GP at the moment. How do you think he's failing you in the treatment?

Well I was put on tablets had another hb1ac and then given trulicity as well, my level dropped too 3.1, Docs got in contact and called me in, and said my last hb1ac was low side and shouldn't have been given 2 medications to take so to stop tablets. They said it was completely there error. They gave me a monitor and that they would phone Friday see how they where, no call, I called them today, still no call back. Also been trying to talk to them as I'd rather stay on tablets and stop the injections but can't get to speak to them.

I see why you mean. That's more detail than we had at the beginning. You need to see your doctor as soon as possible to esstablish a longer term solution that works for you but I wouldn't change or stop your own medications until you can do that. It's a shame you've had reason to lose confidence in his advice. Best wishes.
