Alarm set for 6am and I am still awake.

Had the dreaded lurgy all week coughing, sneezing and sore throat. Been in bed or lazing about all weekend :( husband has it too.

Blood sugars all over the shop which is not helping. Can’t spot the hypos as most of the symptoms are masked by this.

Going the doctors if I can get in, in the morning.

Currently covered in vixcs and got it in hot water, breathing it in, I’m thinking if I can breath in my nose I might not cough as much. Hopefully I’ll be able to get some sleep.

Tested an hour ago at 18. 2! So had a correction, hopefully it drops down. Lost count of the amount of tests I’ve done this weekend.

Oh nooo how horrid for you. I hope your feeling much better soon. I’ve often found if I sleep propped upright up in a chair legs up on something comfy I don’t cough quite so much, it might be worth a try.
As your both so poorly how about call gp out.
Hope you’ve managed to get a few hours kip.

Oh gosh, I hope you did get some sleep, sounds horrible and such a nasty bug. I hope your child is well and you get better very soon and levels start behaving.

Little one is fine. She’s hard a stone! Got a really good immune system, she never gets ill like us.

Been to see my GP, it’s an infection, I’m not sure what name he gave it. It’s not throat or chest but in the middle, sounded something like a dinosaur ha! He said it should get better in a few days, but gave me a prescription of antibiotics to take if I need. I think I want them now. He said there’s a risk of pneumonia if it doesn’t clear up but he’s not too worried and would wait to take the antibiotics.

He also gave me my flu jab there and then and gave me the form for my bloods for my check up. Not a wasted trip.

He made a joke about how it’s bad enough being ill without the extra testing, and commented on my poor fingers. He’s nice.

Manged to get about 4 hours sleep, I’ve come into work as it’s practically at my doctors. GP said to stay in work if I feel well enough.

Ljc I fell asleep on the sofa in the afternoon sat up, so I will try it tonight.its a good idea I didn’t think of.

If I don’t sleep well tonight I will think about going into work or not.

Thanks for the comments guys x

Hope you feel better soon Phoebe! 🙂 Are you testing for ketones as well? I found this document very helpful when I was poorly:

Thanks Alan. Yes no ketones yet, been better with levels today, no hypos, just a nearly. And not as high highs. Feel rotten ha! Hubby picked me up from work, we where like the walking dead in Tesco haha. Buying soup, lucozade, cold and flu stuff and my prescription haha!

Hope you feel better soon!
