Never subscribed to the 'how do I look' judgements Carol...we get what we are given...we make the best of it...personality that's what's important for me...ugly personalities are just that...ugly...yours is supportive...warm...caring...engaging...so no worries for you on that score...if I haven't convinced you...I have a fabulous new miracle eye cream...just arrived:D:D:D...will report back on that.
Sorry bubbsie, good luck with miracle eye cream

Great work Vince. Before I was diagnosed I lost 7 stone and went from a size 26/28 down to a 16/18 in 2 years, so I know what its like.
Wow stitch, what an achievement. Well done

Shorts in this weather Mark...they make them hardy in Cambridge😱.
Here's me in my big wool i.e. jumpers and winter coat

Know the feeling. I changed my diet when diagnosed pre-diabetic last year and now have hardly anything that fits me properly as I lost weight even though I was not overweight to start with. Am underweight so need to put on. Will have to do this by testing what suits me and what does not so that I don't put the bloods up. When I can stabilise my weight I will buy more but, at present, will have to buy something even if it ends up not fitting me later. Bloods are back to normal now.
Is weight not a #%$$#<. It's easy to put it on when you don't want it, hard to take off when you want to, and now also hard to put on when you need too. Bit of a "nanny McPhee" situation

We have a driver at work who is still wearing shorts, maybe they are thermal lined !!!

New eye cream is great Carol...no eye bags/curtains underneath them...can feel it tightening up immediately...then tightening up a little more...then a lot more...then more still...then ...FFS when is it going to stop!...not until its turned up the corners of my mouth...lifted my cheekbones to the point I am smiling unwittingly...thought this is marvellous...but...one glance in the mirror...look like one of Batman's arch enemies...the Joker...back to the drawing board

Possibly an attention seeker...is he from Cambridge?

I didn't say I was wearing them! Just commenting on their unusual waist size. I'm not that much of a nutter.

Rumour has it haemorrhoid cream is brilliant for tightening up the bags seeing as how they shrink the unmentionables. Never fancied trying it myself but who knows?! :D

Apparently it was...now an active ingredient has been removed...have to say...never attracted to the proposition of a**e cream on my visage😱.

Thanks 🙂 although I may have slipped a little today
I slip every night Vince...usually on a small KitKat...just before bed...helps me avoid 'liver dump'

Hmmn...hadn't thought of that Vince...but...it is rather expensive...could depend on the size of the area to be tightened (trying to be diplomatic here...unusual for me) in assessing the financial viability of the project😉.

One to big, other to small. Have to pass on that I guess

My ex-wife is diabetic so my Son informs me. He told me that everynight before bed she has a Mars Bar. No idea if she is T1or T2. Her Mother was a T1 and had toes removed years ago. I have told my Son because of the family link he needs to check. So far fallen on deaf ears. KIDS!!!! He is 48.

Vince...I have a small KitKat just before bed to try to head off liver dump...liver dump is when glycogen stored in the liver is turned into glucose...our liver releases it into the blood stream...so our blood glucose can go up in spite of not eating for several hours... usually happens when it has been a long time since your last meal...to help us get ready for the day ahead...give us that burst of energy we need to get started...since I am insulin resistant...the glucose doesn't get into my cells...hangs around in my bloodstream...pushing my waking numbers up...doesn't happen to everyone...& doesn't work for everyone...however...convinced it helped me bring down my waking levels.
