Relationship to Diabetes
Type 2
Hi everyone, new to this and I feel so overwhelmed, need some advice. So I bought a couple of the Pinch of Nome books before I was diagnosed with type 2 because I needed to loose weight. I'm doing really well have lost 1stone so far. Does anyone know about these books and are they good recipes for someone with diabetes.

Yes, quite a few people use them, I have made lots of the meals and @adrian1der uses them for his delicious meals that he posts in the thread What did you eat yesterday.
I also have the weight loss diet for diabetes by Caldesi which has some good stuff in.
If you don't want to pay money then do an internet search for low carb or keto recipes or there is a recipe section on here.

I cook recipes from all three of the Pinch of Nom books and am looking forward to the new one coming out in December. I also cook from three of Tom Kerridge's books (Fresh Start, Loose Weight for Good and Dopamine Diet) and am just starting working through the fourth (Outdoor Cooking) which will go faster if we get any good weather. Just pick the less carb heavy recipes or make appropriate substitutions. I also cook from a Malaysian Cookbook, a Mexican Cookbook and a Thai Cookbook. For the family I also use Brilliant Bread and the Great British Book of Baking although I don't partake. I made jam doughnuts from Brilliant Bread yesterday. They did look very tempting rolled in castor sugar but I was a good boy- honest!

thank you, I have the lose weight and get fit Tom Kerridge book , I like it.

This one (unlike the Dopamine Diet book) was linked to a BBC programme, so had to conform to the BBC view of healthy, low fat and more carbs. Some recipes may be useful, but I would look very carefully at the amount of carbs!

I bought the Dopamine Diet book and was disappointed that many of the recipes were quite high carbs. I found the Keto Kitchen has some good recipes.
