Saw my lovely consultant this morning who was more than impressed with my results.
Had such a lovely complement as well............. those results are even better than your normal excellent control.
I showed him the records I had kept and what I had been trying to achieve with the Fiasp which interested him no end as no one else in his catchment area was using it so a good learning curb for the pair of us.
Very pleased with the visit as very positive on all counts.

What a great result, Sue, and a lovely consultant! Well done on your hard work too - it's all worth it for a compliment like that 🙂

I'm so made up for you Sue - i bet you walked out of your Consultants room with a feeling of pride having impressed him with your records - so glad for you that it was a positive appointment. Great stuff Sue xxx

Must admit to being really chuffed with his comments because I have to work a lot harder than many people to try and keep my numbers in check due to Addison's, MS, and under active thyroid.
He's the sort of consultant you can say what you like to as well, he's at your level and not on a pedestal.

So good to hear Sue
I am gradually working through FIASP bits and pieces, but like at the start of Pumping I am diong it set by step. It is good to know others are giving it a try and that we can share what we learn, still allowing for ur individuality as ever.

Well that makes a change Sue - he sounds just up my street! Wish some other medical people were more engaging and not at the ready with their boxing gloves!🙄
You've certainly got a fight of your own to battle with your numerous health issues but glad you have all under control due to your own determination and hard work. Well done xx

That's great, Pumper Sue.🙂 Well done for all your hard work and determination. 😛

Spill the beans on Fiasp - is it much faster than regular rapid? I could do with something quicker at breakfast when my insulin is sluggish.

Well done Sue
Bloden- I can get decent-ish results sometimes with novo-slow for breakfast if I pre-bolus for 15 to 20 mins and don;t have more than 30 g carb but lunch is worse for me- I assume because I tend to eat an exclusively carb lunch ( although supposedly low GI) . Unsure if I need fiasp, a higher lunch ratio and less morning levemir ( which would probably b****r up my evening control and evening meal ratio)- or just to have a low carb lunch

I've always used bovine insulin in my pump where as I bloused 30 mins before I eat so it's def a lot quicker than that lol.

From reading everyone else's experiences of Fiasp it does seem to vary for each individual.

I started my journey with Fiasp 3 weeks ago today and am still tweaking things as I go along, as I said to my consultant it feels as if I'm in the beginners class of pump school all over again.

Brilliant Sue - really pleased for you.

I have always found, the consultants, DSNs that I have encountered, if you play ball with them, they are very accommodating.

The only tosser I came across was the diabetic dietician - I knew more than he did.

Really glad you had a good appt Sue, makes all the difference

Are you still smiling? That's lovely to hear. You deserve the good results and compliments, as you obviously work hard to get them. I bet you wanted to tell everyone when you came out of the appointment...I know I would.🙂

Excellent. 🙂 I'm seeing my very first diabetic nurse next month, I've very excited. :D I asked about feet, receptionist said what did they say last time, I said not seen anybody yet, only been diagnosed nearly two years. 😉

Yes still smiling and feeling a bit more positive this morning, only person I told was my 81 year old Mum as she was such a trooper in bringing me up and making sure I stayed healthy as a youngster. 🙂
