The other day starting 7.00 pm I had celery and celeriac soup, scampi and chips and mushy peas followed by trifle. Yes that sounds bad but I don’t make a habit of it and it was a seniors meal; the portions were small to start with and I removed the coating from half the scampi and only ate half the chips. The trifle didn’t taste very sweet and was pretty small. However my blood sugar 2 hours later was 14.9, which I didn’t really expect!! I didn’t sleep very well and still awake at 2 am I tested my blood again. It was 5.6.
My last 6 monthly reading at the doctors was 39. (I know these are different scales, sorry). So, is the fact that it came down to normal a good thing? Or is being so high a very bad thing? Confused!!
