a friend let me borrow her BG meter (she doesn't really use it) and I am thrilled! ye i might be taking meds but my walking BG was 7.4 on saturday and 6.7 on sunday! a big difference to when i was diagnosed 2 weeks ago (26). My new monitor should arrive tomorrow and that's when i will start to watch before and after meals and get a better understanding of the carbs I'm eating. Way to go yet but i feel much more confident that what i'm doing is right. so glad i was advised to get the BG monitor 🙂

Yes it’s frustrating that people often don’t get treated as individuals and it’s assumed they either won’t want to, won’t understand, or will get upset by the readings they see :(

BG monitoring may not suit everyone, but you can already see the positive effect it has had in your case.

Hello and welcome. 🙂
