Confused about my treatment - help please

Nice to hear of a GP that listened to the paitent for a change and is making changes for you. Good luck.

Thanks, yes I am relieved that my GP did listen to my concerns. A new learning curve awaits me now 🙂
 
Hiya...well done, just wanted to add that if your gp has now agreed that you are type 1 you should be allowed to be refered to a consultant at a hospital - definitely worth doing in my opinion as the consultant will have more experience in dealing with type 1's, & the myriad of other things that can be associated with it (there are a few autoimmune things like underactive thyroid etc 🙄). With thr greatest respect, most gp's are just not that clued up on the finer points of life with diabetes! 😛

Thank you. I was already tested in 2010 for thyroid but that was clear - phew! I will speak to GP about seeing a consultant. I would also like to do DAFNE but don't think my PCT offers the course. Will see though.
