Brill ! - and the being deaf bit reminds me so much of standing far far too near HUGE speakers at some venues I attended when I was young. Saw some cracking people, Stones, Kinks, "I can turn a corner" when they were still married - little did anyone know at that time what a vile control freak that despicable man was - Procul Harum, Geno Washington and the Ram Jam Band, spencer Davis Group, the Walker Brothers, Cilla Black, Status Quo .... and probably more. The difference really I spose was that all those men had plenty of hair at that time!

oooh - also met a chap called Freddy Garrity before he became famous, cos he was on the entertainment staff at Butlins, in Minehead, when I was about 12 before 'Freddy and the Dreamers' were invented!
