Hi everyone could anyone suggest a remedy thats blood sugar friendly as i have a cold and took lemsip earlier to try get through the working day and my bg rocketed ! or is it that your levels are higher if unwell ? Thanks Jill
 
Hi Jill, it's probably much more to do with the illness than the Lemsip, which probably doesn't contain much in the way of sugar. When you say 'rocketed', how much did it rise by? Unfortunately, for most people an illness will cause levels to rise - in fact it's often an indication that one is on the way even before you get symptoms! 🙄 I hope you are feeling much better very soon 🙂
 
Thankyou Northerner for your kind reasurrance ...I seem to manage to keep my levels around 6-7 after eating so hope im doing okay with that but yesterday after the said lemsip i was 11.2 ! ....has gone to 7.8 just now so maybe the fever bits over ... roll on Spring !
