I’m diabetic and I’m sniffling

I think I have a cold

Feeling rough and sounding gruffer

Or am I simply feeling old

Diabetic numbers everywhere

There’s not much I can do

This cold has gotten hold of me

I’ve a headache, feeling ....ewwww

Is the strength of how things hit us

Down to diabetic wear

Do our sniffling sniffles worsen

Without diabetic care?

Remember diabetes

Is affected by those germs

You have to treat infectious

On your diabetic terms

Mind those medications

Are they sugar low or sugar free

Or do we have to ride this cold thing out

WIth different rules for you and me

THIS COLD THING BY DIABETIC POET
