Cold

@Inka I'm desperately hoping I don't get another cold! I was totally stressed with the last one especially the first bout of sinusitus as I had cataract op due at end of October and knew I would be put on steroids beforehand. The sinusitis was a shock but I squirted seawater up my nostril for five days ( bought a canister from Boots didn't go to the sea) and it dissappeared! Luckily it was only one side of my face but it was the same side as eye operation. Heard yesterday next op in four weeks so keeping fingers and toes crossed.

Can I park the name of the ‘seawater’ spray, please @saffron15 ?

@Woodywoodpecker I was referred last February the cataracts had caused me to be more shortsighted. I had new glasses the previous November and realised in January not seeing as well. My prescription was increased by -1 in each eye. I now wonder whether increased BG may have had an effect. I wasn't called to be assessed for first eye until end of August by which time I'd been diagnosed diabetic. In 2007 I was diagnosed with iritis and gradually over the years my pupils stuck down. I self refer if I have a flare which is usually every 2 or 3 years. I remember years ago a consultant said pupils would be unstuck when I had cataracts done. Surgeon wanted me to have second one done within 6 weeks but my ophthalmologist said I couldn't be referred til uveitis had settled. The uveitis has cleared but I'm waiting to see a new ophthalmologist to say if macula oedema he spotted has cleared. Im on two sets of eyedrop. Most of my friends have gone to small private clinic [ on the nhs] but I have to be at the hospital. The surgeon who did it last time was lovely. Not looking forward to the steroids.

Hopefully won’t be too long till you get it done. Hubby had one done just before lockdown, think local hospital running behind hopefully he might get a cancellation before then

@Inka I think i should still have the spray, I will have a look. I bought it in Boots served by the pharmacist. I've never had sinusitis before. I don't know how good it would be for a chronic conditions. If it is something different I'll DM you but this looks like it. Mixed reviews. I had seen I could do my own rinsing with salt water but I couldnt face it.
