Hi
I have suffered with sore feet for years as I have lymphodema and I can't wear slippers, so at home I walk around bare footed. Because I haven't been going out a lot this past 9 months the base of my feet have hardened and I have just recently seen the podiatrist, who sorted out the dry skin and a cut underneath it. A week later they feel sore again. Should I be worried? Also last night it was as if I had a trapped nerve in my left leg, pain going down and for a while I could not feel my foot. I have only been diagnosed T2 for just over 2 months

Going bare foot is really not good for diabetics. Can you not find some of those sock slippers which might be more comfortable than hard slippers for you.

Another vote for the sock slippers from me - I was issued with a pair in hospital a few years ago with a broken knee and they really are a) warm and b) safe to walk around in - just don't afford any protection to the tops of tootsies, so you still need to be careful whilst wearing them.
