Please can I ask what cough & cold remedies everybody has?

Hi. I hope you're better soon. If your cold is bad, contact your gp, possibly have a telephone appointment.
Personally I take Paracetamol and if necessary a sugar free cough remedy. You pharmacist can advise on these.

I assume you already know the sick day rules , if not I can provide a link.

Ask a pharmacist - they're the experts on medications, including over the counter products.
For a sore throat, gargling with hot salty water can be very effective.

Thank you for the replies @Ljc & @Copepod

The sore throat seems to have gone now but I'm still left with a blocked & runny nose & a bit of a cough. If still like this tomorrow I will pop into Boots & ask the pharmacist in there

I take Lemsip and suck sugar free Strepsils if my throats is sore. I have a rotten cold at the moment. I must be unusual because apart from the effect of less exercise than normal, colds don't seem to put my levels up.
