Does anybody experience higher BG levels if drinking a cup with your breakfast?

Im looking at a chart im keeping of bg levels and I cant understand whay Im unexplainably spiking on somedays and not others eating the same thing, same insulin ratios etc.

Then I realised that Im currently in he middle of a coffee relapse... I had stopped drinking it entirely, but some mornings I do have one others I dont. Today I have and I wonder if it may have had an effect. I also never drink coffee on the weekend and Never experience spikes (Esp after an hour) such as this??

I pretty much always have filter coffee in the mornings, so I've not got much info to contrast, but I do know others who find they have to bolus for strong coffee (though less so for bog-standard instant) so I guess it's not unlikely that it could be affecting you.

I usually go with caffine filled instant coffee, black at least a t spoon and a half. Ill see what happens tommorow not having one..!

COffee has another effect on me too, so I drink it when I am a bit gummed up.

Strong coffee makes my BGs rise. I can drink black instant no problem, but for filter coffee or a proper coffee bought from a shop I need to bolus around 0.2-0.3u per cup. I see no impact at all from decaf.

Happens to me with all caffeinated drinks. I only have decaf now

If you hadnt eaten, and had coffee then would it still rise? Or is it the effect you find it had on your insulin sensitivity... i.e. when you eat with food?
